Rapid Stabilisation & Risk Reduction
Focused, short-term support when risk is escalating.

Service Overview

When situations are becoming unsafe or unstable, we help teams and families create clarity quickly. The focus is on reducing escalation, aligning responses, and stabilising risk so that safer decisions and next steps are possible.

This offer produces a shared, practical plan to reduce avoidable risk, prevent crisis where possible, and restore a degree of stability. It is built around the Thrive Compass™ Escalation Cycle and a Stabilisation Plan.

When this support is the right fit

  • Incidents are increasing in frequency or intensity

  • Safety is becoming a concern at home, school, or in a placement

  • Escalation feels predictable but responses are inconsistent

  • There is a risk of placement breakdown, exclusion, or admission

  • Professionals are not aligned on what to do next

What this support provides

A shared Thrive Compass™ Escalation Cycle
A clear, shared understanding of stages, early indicators, and what escalation looks like in real life.

A practical Stabilisation Plan
Agreed actions for each stage, designed to reduce escalation and stabilise risk.

Clear priorities for immediate risk reduction
What changes first, why it matters, and what to reduce or pause that may be adding pressure.

Role clarity and communication expectations
Who does what, how updates are shared, and how the network stays aligned.

A short review point to assess what is changing
A defined check-in to review what is improving, what is stuck, and what needs adjusting.

Implementation-ready tools

Simple, ready-to-use templates and prompt tools so the plan is usable in real time, not left sitting in a document.

How we work

1. Rapid scoping
We start by understanding the current risk picture, context, and key people involved.

2. Escalation Cycle workshop
We map escalation patterns together and align responses across the network.

3. Stabilisation planning
We co-produce a clear, practical plan with stage-based actions and safeguards.

4. Implementation support
We provide brief, targeted support to help the plan be used consistently.

5. Review and next steps
We agree a review point to assess what is changing and what support is needed next.

We focus on implementation:

Turning complex risk and multi-agency views into a shared, stage-based plan that teams can use consistently day-to-day.

Levels of support

These levels are not sequential — each is designed to stand alone, depending on need.

Level 1 — STABILISATION CORE (Workshop + Plan) A focused package to reduce escalation and stabilise risk by aligning everyone around a shared, practical approach. INCLUDES * Thrive Compass™ Escalation Cycle Workshop — we operationally define what each stage looks like in real life (observable behaviours and early indicators), so the team can recognise escalation earlier, respond consistently, use stage-matched support, and avoid actions that unintentionally increase risk. * Co-produced Stabilisation Plan — a clear, usable plan that sets out what helps at each stage, what to prioritise early, and what to stop or pause if it increases pressure. * Roles and communication clarity — explicit agreement about who does what, when, and how information is shared during periods of rising risk. * Implementation-ready outputs — practical tools (e.g. stage summaries, prompts, or checklists) so the plan can be used confidently in day-to-day support. BEST FOR: Teams or families who want a clear plan they can implement themselves once everyone is aligned.

Level 2 — SUPPORTED IMPLEMENTATION (Workshop, Plan + Supervision) A structured package to help the plan be used consistently in day-to-day practice. We support leaders to build reliable routines (briefings, reviews, and feedback loops) so the plan is used consistently across staff and shifts. Everything in Level 1, plus: * Targeted supervision and coaching to support consistent use of the plan (leaders and key staff) * Practice consistency support (what “good looks like”, prompts, quick feedback loops, troubleshooting) * Short review cycle to check what is improving, what is stuck, and what needs adjusting * Guidance on escalation routes if risk increases or the context changes BEST FOR: Teams who want the plan in place and want support to embed it reliably. Supervision is focused on implementation and consistency, not open-ended crisis response.

Level 3 — FULL IMPLEMENTATION & HANDOVER (Workshop, Plan + Embedded Delivery) For situations where risk is high, stability is fragile, or the system needs more hands-on support to implement safely and consistently. * Thrive Compass™ Escalation Cycle Workshop — we operationally define what each stage looks like in real life (observable behaviours + early indicators), so the team responds consistently and earlier, with stage-matched support and clear “avoid” guidance. * Co-produced Stabilisation Plan — agreed actions, safeguards, and decision points for each stage, aligned across the network. * Embedded implementation — hands-on support to put the plan into practice (modelling, coaching in context, and supporting real-time problem-solving as challenges arise). • Handover and sustainability — clear competence expectations, agreed drift alerts, and a structured handover so the plan can be maintained confidently after the intensive phase ends. BEST FOR: Teams where implementing a plan without embedded support would be unsafe, unrealistic, or likely to drift.

How pricing works

Level 1 is a fixed workshop & plan package. Levels 2–3 add supervision or embedded delivery and are priced in line with time and scope. Costs are confirmed after a brief scoping conversation to ensure the support is proportionate and deliverable.

This is risk-reduction support, not a crisis response service. Where safeguarding thresholds are met, statutory procedures remain in place.

What happens next

If this support feels like the right fit, the next step is a short scoping conversation to confirm context, priorities, and the appropriate level of support.
